Haphazardly yours

I had an awesome blogpost halfway written in my head last night. Unfortunately, I was also warm and comfycozy under my covers and SO NOT COMING OUT.

So you get this.

Because I forgot the whole thing. There’s not even a whisper of a faint memory. I just remember that it was going to be an awesome post.

School is going well. It’s a much more solid semester than most of my previous ones. I just have to…decide on a major.

Y’all, I have a difficult time deciding on what paint to put on my bedroom walls – deciding where to focus my degree program has gone from a vague idea to downright impossible.

I want it all. With sprinkles on top.

~~~~~
I’ve started cooking again. So far, the problem has become that I make a recipe and I’m the only one that eats it.
I do not love leftovers.1
You can see the conundrum. I cook, eat, and decide that I don’t want anymore.
And yes yes, I know I could stick it in the freezer until I decide I want it again. The issue there is…I usually don’t want it again until the frozen leftovers are completely inedible.
Buh.
~~~~~

The boys are doing moderately well in school.2 I’m trying to get things worked out so that I’m homeschooling them in addition so that any holes in their education are plugged.

~~~~~
And that’s all I have right now.
  1. Unless it’s a dish that involves planned leftovers. Soup and beans taste better the next day. []
  2. Meaning they still go every day. []
The Jello Shot that Won’t Melt Experiment
can be found here. In that post, they will tell you exactly how much alcohol you can add before the gelatin will lose its structural integrity.
This post on the same site will tell you how to make some pretty tasty jello shots using liquers and different flavor combinations.
So please, go see those guys at My Science Project and leave my family-friendly (cuz there’s no booze innit!) Rainbow Jello alone. Mkay?
This blogpost brought to you in celebration of the 10billionth person to find my two-year old Rainbow Jello post by searching “can you make a jello shot that won’t melt”
Read the FAQ, smartypants.
Yesterday in my “I joined Twitter” announcement, I asked
Right now I have Twitter Tools set this blog set to ping Twitter when I put up a post. I also have it set to pull all my tweets into a blogpost which seems to be a self-perpetuating circle of insanity. (I post to the blog which Tweets “new blogpost”. Tools pulls my tweets into a blogpost. Which then triggers a “new blogpost” tweet. This is the song that doesn’t eeeeeend, it just goes on and on my frieeeend.) Actually just typing that out sounds rather obnoxious but is that how you play the game or whut?
But Alex King, the developer of my deliciously shiny new plugin, anticipated and answered said question in the FAQ that’s posted on the settings/twitter tools page (also known as THE README), I just didn’t scroll down far enough to read it.
(duh)
What happens if I have both my tweets posting to my blog as posts and my posts sent to Twitter? Will it cause the world to end in a spinning fireball of death?
Actually, Twitter Tools has taken this into account and you can safely enable both creating posts from your tweets and tweets from your posts without duplicating them in either place.
So there ya have it. And I have it. We all have it.
The End.
(for now)
Assimilating into The Collective
I joined The Twitterverse today, heaven help us all. (Because I need another social object to ignore, y’know!)
If you are so inclined, I’m (the OH so original) twitter.com/mamasbloggin (PLEASE PLEASE follow me. Please. )
And can someone fill me in on TwitterQuette? Right now I have Twitter Tools set this blog set to ping Twitter when I put up a post. I also have it set to pull all my tweets into a blogpost which seems to be a self-perpetuating circle of insanity. (I post to the blog which Tweets “new blogpost”. (The title of this post was originally Assmilating into The Collective. Heh.)
