Been there, done that. We've postponed Christmas a few years, too. I usually stayed up into the wee hours, making things for them so under the tree wouldn't be quite so bare. Any storebought stuff had to wait. It sucks but, in the grand scheme of things, it's not a biggie. This year, no money for gifts until hubby gets his bonus... at some point in December. So we may or may not have Christmas on time. But at least we'll have a Christmas so we're doing better than a lot of folks.

Hi again! Just wanted to let you know that a package is on its way to you through Amazon. :) The wish list is a GREAT idea. We dug up Ashley's (the guy from Google+) phone number online and contacted him. He and my husband had a REALLY nice conversation. Ashley is on his way to Charlotte, NC to spend the holidays with his mother. We're letting him know about the wish list (we have a mutual "if you hear anything from Emily, tell me" agreement going on).

If it's okay with you, it would mean a lot to our daughter to be able to send you her copy of Scribblenaughts. She wants to contribute that to your boys' holiday. I totally understand wanting to be private online -- I am the same way. But I'm trying to figure out how to get your address so we can mail it to you from up here in PA. If you feel comfortable, could you please email me? I think you get my email address just from me commenting on your blog. If not, we'll figure something out. Just comment and let me know. Thanks!

Ew. I've tried several recipes like that and can't stand them. Too sweet and fluffy-tasting. My fave recipe is 3 cups dry milk, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, and 3/4 cup sugar. Easy peasy and more to my taste buds' liking. Now we don't drink any of it, though. I need to come up with a new recipe to suit our current eating habits.

Okay, so now you're going to feel totally stalked, I'm sure. :P I'm Stacy and I'm married to Mark (the one who posted on your Google+ page after I found you online when I read the article). Ashley Tillman barely beat me to the punch, but we're in!! A team effort!

I looked through your Google+ page (wall? Is it called a wall? Or is that just on Facebook?) and found your blog through it. Now, THIS I know how to work. We blog, too. :) I'm not a big fan of Facebook and "quicker" social media like it, but I love blogging. Feel free to check ours out so that you know we're nice, safe, and fairly normal. I noticed something about homeschooling on your blog some place -- we homeschool, too. And we have a cute doggie -- we're new to dog ownership. VERY new. So new, in fact, I should really say "clueless" rather than "new." Because the reality is that our puppy totally rules the roost. We adore her!

Anyway, pleased to meet you! What a fun story we now have of how we got to know one another! :)

I'll have to read the book but...from what I've seen online, I wouldn't be able to get it into the boys. They don't eat meat. Or veggies. Well....many veggies.
