Time changes and dreams

We’re not handling the time change all that well in Chez Mamasbloggin.

I’m not a morning person in any way, shape, or form.

Apples do not fall far from their trees; neither do my children rise easily from a sound sleep.

Since their day starts earlier than anyone else, the boys have been either in class RIGHT as the bell rings, or late.

When the annoying blaring claxon of the alarm rouses me, I want nothing more than to slap it into oblivion and curl back under the covers.

And dream about the days when my children were homeschooled.

And wish that things were different, that somehow I could manage my schedule JUST a little bit better and make working and writing and home maintenance and going back to school (when I do go back) AND homeschooling them work.

Then I sigh, deeply. And haul myself out of bed. And start nudging them toward awareness and the start of our day.
