If you’re still reading this blog, thank you.

I’ve been reading and absorbing and occasionally commenting, but haven’t really felt the urge to write. I sit, with the window open, unable to really formulate anything that *I* would want to read much less inflict on anyone else.

Other than that the laundry is still piling up, waiting to be folded. The kids are doing okay in school, and work is…work. Everything has gone back to normal.

Except for where it hasn’t.

I’m taking a sabbatical from school. You know I had been wondering if Salem is the right school for me (something that got gently reinforced in the comments of that post) and well… I won’t be going back for Spring semester. It’s been nice, not having the stress of reading and writing under deadline in addition to the whole “being Mommy” thing and working.

There have been home improvement lists made (replacement windows, reconfigure side porch, replace flooring, replace french door entryway, arrange service calls). There have been gigantic appliance purchases (TV, washer, dryer, AND dishwasher). There have been frozen pipes, tripped breakers, and profoundly clogged toilets.

In short, there has been life. I just haven’t been writing about it.

Yet.
