Aaaaah, I needed that.

Don’t be afraid. You needn’t slay the beast nor scale the entire mountain. That’s not how it’s done. You only need to move through today, Emily. Think of the distance you’ve already covered. Focus on your strengths. Let each new step remind you of your freedom. Let every breath you take remind you of your power. Seek out friends and guides; they’re anxious to help. You’re not alone. You’re understood. This road has been walked before. Dance life’s dance, just a few steps at a time, and in the wink of an eye you will wonder to yourself, “What beast, what mountain? Was I having a dream?”

Love you,
The Universe

Lorelle made it easy for us to be naked together

  • Posted on April 8, 2008 at 10:17 am

Tomorrow is Blog Naked Day – an opportunity for us to get past the flair and show off our blog’s ability to FUNCTION.

Lorelle generously created a BlogNaked WordPress theme (it’s in her post here) and since I’m lazy crazy busy, I’ll quite happily take advantage of her generosity.

Read more about (and sign up for!) CSS Naked Day.

On the list of things you don’t want to hear:

  • Posted on April 7, 2008 at 7:20 pm

WHY??!!?? do you always have the UNIQUE mechanical problems??!!??

Update: I regained a plugin.

  • Posted on April 7, 2008 at 1:48 pm

My much beloved Tag Suggest Thing does indeed work with WordPress 2.5. It just doesn’t LOOK like it’s working.

Wait. Let me back up a bit and explain. The plugin suggests tags using the Yahoo! term extraction api. You click “get tag suggestions” then either click the term or “add all”. With previous versions of WordPress and the Tag Suggest Thing, the suggested tags were auto-inserted into the WordPress tags form. With WordPress 2.5, this does not LOOK like it is happening. The tag line remains blank.

HOWEVER.

The tags are still being inserted, as you’ll learn when you click the handy dandy little “add” tag in the WordPress tags box. You’ll have to deselect “add new tag”, but that’s a small price to pay for a bit of laziness.

Now go forth and be tagless no more.

Testing the LJXP fix

If you can read this on my LiveJournal, life is indeed good.

Nevermind. Didn’t work, and the plugin seems to be no longer supported. And I’m cranky enough as it is without trying to rewrite someone elses code.
