But that’s not really true. You CAN go home again, you just can’t expect it to be exactly the way it was when you left.
My daughter has decided to give public school a try. I’m not thrilled with it, but if things go down the toilet I can always yank her out and homeschool again. As is our custom, we disagree on what grade she should be in – I think she’s capable of doing 10th grade level work (and THEN some), she wants to start in the 9th grade. Unfortunately, this is really not my decision to make; it’s the school system’s. However, you can plan on me being at least a little pushy.
Because of this, I’m looking for part-time work, of the “place I worked before” variety. I’m not crazy about going back to work, but my savings are gone, no child support is coming in, and I’m tired of the uncertainty of “did I get this grant or not?” to live on. And lets face it – I need to get out of the house just a bit more than I have been.
