I was JUST about to give up when I hooked them on a sweet spot and pulled it straight out. Now I just need a camera to put the thing in. (Okay, a FUNCTIONING camera.) Having been professionally called upon to extract a variety of things from computers, out of places they were never meant to go, I would consider this my professional recommendation as well.
