Two of my friends on My Supah Secret Single Mom’s Message Board have recently undergone emergency gallbladder surgery. After hearing a bit about the things they were dealing with, I whipped out my incredimous Google Skillz and looked it up.
Pain in the upper right abdomen near the ribcage check
nausea or vomiting check
changes in position, OTC pain relievers, and passing gas do not relieve symptoms check
typically disappears after one or several hours check
occur at about the same time every day but less frequently than once a week check
Large or fatty meals can precipitate the pain, but it usually occurs several hours after eating check
SOOO I’m waiting for the dr’s office to open and return my call. Hopefully all I’ll need to do is make dietary changes…because if I have to have surgery I’ll need to take a medical withdrawl from school.
Yippee. Skippee.
Update: First available Dr. appt is Monday. Yay.
