I did something today that I haven’t done in more than 20 years.
No, not have sex. Getcher mind out of the gutter!
I got on a bicycle.
My knees hurt SO bad, my ankles are tightening up even as we speak, but OH it was so much fun. I now have a “to-do” list for fixing the bike – new brake pads, a nice seat cushion, and grease. I was hoping that seeing me ride around would make Dan want to ride HIS bike, but he wasn’t going for it. We’ll just have to ease him into it I guess.
In other news, I’ve been messing around on myspace.com. I found a few people that I went to high school with, and we’ve been doing a bit of catching up. I’m not quite to the point of designing a CSS for the page, though I did put my blogheader in there.
Utz potato chips RAWK. They’ve less sodium than most other brands. This makes me happy.
The NC Homeschooling Conference is coming up soon. I’m making plans to attend for the first time. I just wish they’d focus a lil more on classical education, and a little less on the religious aspects. Yes, I do realize that the vast majority of homeschoolers do so for religious reasons. That is absolutely NO EXCUSE for ignoring those of us who don’t.
We’re officially a “gymnastics” family. All 3 kids are in *some* type of tumbling class. Joe is on trial basis for the next month (4 lessons) since he’s the youngest. We’ll play it by ear and see if he will tuck in and go play with the other kids, or if we need to find a different activity. Dan and Alannah LOVE their class though.
I officially SUCK as a student. I’m not completely failing…but as a person with 4.0 aspirations, I’m not happy with myself at all. Time to drop back and go over everything again. Hopefully I can get it all together in the last half of the semester.
And now I must go read and get ready for round II of gymnastics. Bye!
Duh it wasn’t sex, you said more than 20 years and you have a 2 year old, I know math woman!!!
Yeah, baybee – but you’re not the only person on the planet who reads my blog.
I think.
