hehehehehe And now you know how my day went!
1. Total number of books I’ve owned
Oh dear. There really is no telling. Like you, I always ALWAYS have more books than shelves. My personal collection is in the neighborhood of 500, however if I am also to include the children’s library in that number, it swells to the neighborhood of 1500.
2. The last book I bought.
I’m (almost) ashamed to admit that it’s been more than two years since I bought a book. 100% of my new reading material comes from the library these days – it’s free, and if it stinks I can take it back. If I read the book at the library and love it enough to WANT it, it goes on my Amazon wish list. I can always buy it later, right?
However, to properly answer the question, the last book I purchased was 1421: The Year China Discovered America (and I never got to read it. Tig took it with him when we split 3 years ago.)
3. The last book I read.
I just got back from a library run
. Right now I’m reading: Weight Watchers Meals in Minutes Cookbook, Sink Reflections, TM (Trancendental Meditation) – Discovering Inner Energy and Overcoming Stress, The Surrendered Wife, The Millionaire Next Door, and last but CERTAINLY not least, Socially Responsible Investing – Making a difference and Making Money.
4. 5 Books that mean a lot to you.
Goodness, that’s a tough one. Now you’re making me wish I had everything shelved properly, so I could browse the stacks and make a list that way. Off the top of my head though, they are:
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by La Leche League Int’l.
The Homemaker’s Encyclopedia (series) from the 1950′s
The Little House on the Prarie Series
Raising your Spirited Child
The Stand
There are more books on that list, but that’s all I can pull out right now.
5. Tag 5 people and request they fill this out on their journal.
My answers are up! Thanks for asking me to play.
I’ll get to it eventually I swear!!
Heh, don’t worry about it sweetheart. I know you’re busy!
