There’s just not enough time in the weekend, and/or I need to better manage my at-home time during the week.
Laundry is still sitting, waiting to be folded. Last week’s is still on the laundrytable waiting to be put away.
It’s bedtime, and Joe’s FIREDUP and won’t sit down long enough to put his diaper on.
Dan didn’t want what I made for supper, and just NOW decided he wanted chicken nuggets, so I had to listen to him shriek and whine about how FIRSTY and HUNGRY he was. I swear he *stays* in a growth spurt with as much as he eats.
I formatted the kiddy computer today. BIG mistake: the Win98SE CD had a deep gouge in it, and I can’t get the setup to complete. Dan waited SO patiently all day long to play, and I ended up telling him the computer is broken and he will have to play later. I can’t upgrade the OS any further, because Dan’s favorite games won’t play on anything higher than that (We’ve tried that already.)
Alannah’s ancient laptop gave up the ghost a while back, but I’ve been in denial. I really, truly thought I could fix it. Mom dropped it, and I’ve been trying to chase down what I thought was OBVIOUSLY a broken connection….but it’s got to be more than that because I can’t find a break.
The only project I’ve actually completed today was locating a MICR font so I can print checks on the rare occasions when I need to. I refuse to pay for a box of checks when I might write two a year.
OOH, and we did make arrangements to celebrate Alannah’s birthday after the Good Dr. releases her to do normal activities. CRAP! which is something else I forgot to do: pick up waterproof band-aids so she can go swimming. I was right there LOOKING at the band-aids today, and I didn’t pick them up. GAH!
Anyone want to volunteer to be my personal assistant? No?
How about volunteering to turn over your paycheck to me so I can go back to taking care of my kids. Then I won’t need a personal assistant!
