My first payday in four years…….

I spent half of it on groceries, and have the other half already spent. (It was a short week, though.)

Although I’m glad I started out by working with a temp company, I can tell you right now that I’m going to keep looking for a “real” job. After running the cashiering office for a brokerage firm, sitting in front of a computer all day long typing is about as entertaining as watching grass grow…during a drought.

Alannah’s arm is healing nicely and she’s doing physical therapy to help rebuild the muscle strength she lost due to it being in the cast.
I’ve already promised her a trip to her favorite museum to make up for the fact that we couldn’t do anything “fun” on her birthday.

Lessee, what else….

I got the boys’ computer up and running, but the “educational” software isn’t here yet. I got Sesame Street something-or-other from the library and let them play it, and they seem to be pretty good at navigating around.

The boys are getting into the “hit each other” stage. Hopefully we’ll make it through with minimal damage…Dan may be older and taller, but Joe’s a little bruiser – and I think he could probably hold his own pretty well.

That’s all I can think of in my brain-fried state. Y’all have a good weekend, and don’t do anything I wouldn’t.
