Can’t sleep, my children will eat me!

My non-timely updates:

I got the job. I’m happy to be employed. It will take me a while to adjust to the fact that they’re an extremely casual office… blue jeans and tennis shoes.

My excuse for the non-timely updates:

I opened the weekend with a whiz-bang toothache, and spent the better part of Sat & Sun alternating between numbing gel and trying to find foods soft enough for me to eat. Monday morning found me in the dentist’s chair, where he diagnosed an abcessed molar, and a broken wisdom tooth behind THAT one. Treatment? Extract two lovely teeth and move on. As I walked out the door, they reminded me that my daughter and I both needed cleanings, so I walked up to the desk to schedule.

Oh, you have an opening tomorrow? WONDERFUL! Sign me up right heah!

So I went in the next day for x-rays, a cleaning, and to find out that my one and only remaining wisdom tooth is also damaged beyond repair. At my next appointment (to be scheduled) I will be having it yanked, and having some scaffolding installed to make future yankings easier.

Just kidding!

At any rate, when I got home from work, the kids were outside playing, the house was roasting (a/c isn’t working. Is anyone surprised?), and I managed to get some of the laundry handled. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue to stay on top of it.

So, that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to.
