Granny is getting around better all the time. Yesterday she made it into the kitchen and made a pot of coffee – totally without help. I was shocked, surprised, and amazed. She went to the Dr. last Friday, and is doomed to ride in the wheelchair for the next four weeks – absolutely NO weight is to be put on that foot. They put a new cast on it, and patted her on the head. Today, she’s off to the eye doctor to hopefully get her new glasses. At least, I hope so. She’s getting cranky about not being able to read.
Joe had his first birthday (such as it was) on the 7th. We had cake, but no candles…a gift but no wrapping paper. C’est la vie….he never noticed it. He’ll be walking before we go back to NC.
Daniel is 85% potty trained now. We’re trying big boy underpants. The current phrase of the house is: Dan, if you pee on Spongebob, he’s gonna get mad at you.
Also heard in the house this week–
Dan: “Mommy, get Joses out of da tub. I want to rewax!” (Mommy, get Joseph out of the tub, I want to relax!”
Granny: “You don’t need no more babies”
But Granny, you said earlier today that I needed another 4 or 5 kids!
**wicked grin and arched eyebrow**”Oh, I was just bullshittin!”
And that concludes the update. I know I’m forgetting stuff, but once again, I’m in a rush. I wish I could find a modem card for that stupid laptop so I could dialup. I write SO much better when I can leave a window open all day and type as I think about it.
Take care!
Doesn’t it feel great to have a child potty trained!! Congratulations…I know how hard it is!!! Glad to hear you are all doing okay. Thanks for the updates!
