Taking a small break from moving furniture around while Joe naps. The living room wasn’t as bad as I originally thought it was….the piles of crap are only the furniture moved around. Unfortunately, moving it while the boys jump on it (and me) is proving to be difficult.
Updating on Granny: I had originally planned on staying with her until she was back on her feet totally. Granny decided that moving around on a walker and walking cast was fraught with hazard around my boys, and went to stay at my cousin’s house. Her continuity of care will be changed significantly….although someone will be there with her at all times, they are taking shifts so that everyone can work and grocery shop and all the other things that go with daily life. The day she went to Cousin’s house, she fell – her knee, weakened by weeks of disuse, buckled under her. Good news – Uncle caught her, thereby keeping her from breaking her hip. Bad news – Uncle grabbed, not considering her brittle bones, and broke her rib. Yes, I’m glad it wasn’t her hip, but DAMN. And they STILL haven’t taken her to her regular MD to see about treating the osteoporosis.
I find it very frustrating…..but I have to learn to let it go.
And that’s all the news that’s fit to print at this time. When the boys go to bed tonight I’ll edit the pictures I took and post them – there are some real doozies in there
